LSF Meeting Held - Activities Announced

LSF held a meeting earlier this week, and as a result we have a whole new flurry of activities planned. Please mark your calendars with the following:

Milwaukee Admirals Hockey – Sunday, Dec. 2 at 4:00pm: Don’t worry – there is no Packer game on Dec. 2nd, so join us as we cheer on the Admirals at the Bradley Center! We will meet in the Student Center at 2:45pm to carpool. No need to RSVP, we’ll get tickets at the gates.

Babysitting – Thursday, Dec. 13 from 4:00-9:00pm in the Student Center: LSF is looking for student volunteers to help babysit for LMC families who may wish to get some shopping done or just have a quiet evening. Please come and help as you are able.

Advent/Christmas Caroling – Saturday, Dec. 15 @ 5:00pm: Meet us at the vicarage at 5:00pm to warm up your vocal chords with a light chili dinner. From there, we will head out into the neighborhood for some merry caroling until we can’t feel our noses. Then we will come back to the Student Center for some hot cocoa. We will hold a short rehearsal on Sunday, Dec. 9 following Bible study. Please let Rachel or Vicar know if you will be joining us for dinner.

On-Campus Bible Study – Mondays at 3:00pm: Vicar Askins will continue leading this Fall semester study on Ezekiel in the UWM Union Room 342 through Monday, Dec. 17th (UWM’s finals week). It’s not too late to join in on the study!

Table Talk – Thursdays at 12:15pm: Join us for a free lunch and enlightening discussion every Thursday through the last week of Fall classes, in the UWM Union Room 346. Email Vicar Askins lmc_vicar@yahoo.com with any topics you would like to discuss. Look for Table Talk to resume with the start of classes in the Spring.

2nd Annual Winter Retreat – Friday, Jan. 11 through Saturday, Jan. 12: Attention all students! Join us for a getaway weekend full of relaxing fun and fellowship before the start of Spring semester classes. Symposia – January 15-18: Held every year on the Fort Wayne campus, the four-day event is highlighted by presentations on Exegetical Theology and the Lutheran Confessions. Christ On Campus @ UWM – Tuesday, Jan. 29 at 7:00pm: This year’s topic is Intelligent Design vs. Evolution. The details are currently being worked out. YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS THIS EVENT! Invite everyone you know and their cousins. The lecture/debate will be held in the UWM Student Union, and hors d'ourves will be provided. Stay tuned for further details.
